#OTD On This Day, August 3, 2006, Clay Buchholz of the Greenville Drive, the Boston Red Sox affiliate of the Class A South Atlantic League, struck out nine in 5.2 innings to earn his seventh win of the season in a game against the Lake City Captains, a Cleveland Indians affiliate. He pitched nine years in Boston (where he threw a no-hitter in 2007), one year in Philadelphia in 2017 and one year in Arizona in 2018. After completing a year with Toronto in 2019 the two-time All-Star, World Seried champ and Boston Pitcher of the Year remains a free agent.
